OutTake: Launching the world’s first 4K projector.
Situation – Evans & Sutherland had developed and previously launched a break-through laser light projector, but with a $1 million dollar price tag very few were sold. The latest version of the projector, 4K resolution, made it the highest resolution production projector in the world. Carrying a lower $500,000 price tag, the projector was scheduled to launch at InfoComm 2009.
Action – Copernio developed and implemented a product launch strategy that included pre-show announcements and outreach both to editors attending InfoComm and to other targeted, vertical market editors worldwide.
Results – Strong coverage in targeted print publications, online publications and leading websites highlighting new projectors. As a result of pre-show coverage two serious customers (a major oil company and a leading worldwide religious organization) came specifically to see the projector.
